Profiles & Labels

Create Civil 3D layout profiles and apply label styles for plan production.

HGL Profiles

Click the Profile button to generate Civil 3D layout profiles showing the computed Hydraulic Grade Line. Profiles are created for each alignment in the network.

• Profile naming: {AlignmentName}-HGL-{ReturnPeriod}yr (e.g., "Main-St-HGL-10yr")
• If a profile with the same name already exists, it is replaced
• When dual storm is enabled, choose to profile: Design storm only, Check storm only, or Both

Configure profile output in Project Settings > Output tab.

Label Styles

Click the Label button to apply label styles to pipes and structures in Civil 3D profile views. Four label style slots are available:

Slot	Purpose
Pipe — Full Flow Style	Label for pipes flowing full (at or above capacity)
Pipe — Partial Flow Style	Label for pipes flowing partially full
Structure — Style 1	Primary structure label
Structure — Style 2	Secondary structure label (for additional info)

HydraStorm auto-creates two starter label styles ("HS - Full Flow" and "HS - Partial Flow") if they don't exist in the drawing. You can customize these in Civil 3D's label style editor.

Configure label styles in Project Settings > Output tab.
